What the concierge sends, and when
Everything below is automatic once a trip is active and its segments are reviewed. Nothing unreviewed ever triggers a message.
Before the trip
| When | What |
|---|---|
| 7–1 days out | Pre-trip checklist — passport, insurance, entry requirements, money |
| 21, 10 and 4 days out | Document requests, only to travellers actually missing something |
| 30, 14 and 7 days out | Passport expiry alert if it falls foul of the six-month rule |
| 2 days out | Departure countdown — outstanding paperwork, arrival forecast |
| 1 day out | Departure countdown — the real departure: time, place, terminal, locator |
During the trip
| When | What |
|---|---|
| Each morning | Daily brief — the day's plan, room, weather, and a link to their day page |
| 24h before each flight | Check-in reminder |
| Before each segment | Segment reminder |
| On checkout day | Checkout reminder |
| When a flight moves | Flight alert, only to affected travellers, with the connection checked |
| On severe weather | Weather alert |
After
A recap page and a feedback ask a day or two after they land.
What controls it
Brief hour — the local hour the daily brief and countdowns go out. Set per agency; defaults to 08:00.
Quiet hours — a window in which nothing but critical messages is sent, measured in the traveller's local time. On by default, 22:00–08:00, changeable in settings. Only flight alerts go through it: a cancelled flight is worth waking someone for, a weather forecast is not, and anything held simply arrives at the first civil hour instead.
Notification level — each traveller can choose:
- All — everything above
- Important — no daily briefs, keeps reminders and alerts
- Critical — flight and weather alerts only
Timezone — every one of these is scheduled on the clock the traveller is living on: home before departure, the destination once they arrive, following the itinerary as they move. See Timezones.
Stopping a message
Deactivating a trip stops everything for it. To stop one kind for one person, change their notification level. Every message that goes out is recorded, so you can always see exactly what a traveller received and when.
